Always at the forefront of the latest fashion trends, Derby Street Shops announces the addition of a new style setter, Beau & RoBag Company, opening a pop-up on July 23. With its unique designed handbags, vibrantly bold jewelry and exquisite hats, the Charleston-based women’s accessories brand can make any outfit effortlessly chic. Beau & Ro will be open through October 1 and will be located next to Rustic Kitchen.
In celebration of its pop-up at Derby Street Shops, Beau & Ro and its founder Sara Rossiwill host a special Sip & Shop event on Thursday, July 25 (5pm-8pm). Guests will be treated to rosé and raffle giveaways while shopping Beau & Ro’s latest summer collections and signature styles.
Founded by Sara Rossi, a Boston College graduate, Beau & Ro combines fashion and function to create uniquely designed leather handbags, all made in New York City. The brand first launched in 2014 with its signature leather styles and has expanded to incorporate globally-sourced designs made by artisans in Colombia, Mexico and Vietnam.
Beau & Ro’s pop up at Derby Street Shops will offer its entire collection, including its best-selling style, a clutch that can be converted into a crossbody bag, which comes with fun bamboo handles and woven caning for summer. In addition to Beau & Ro’s signature leather styles, the pop-up will offer beautiful straw, palm, and rattan bags sourced from artisans around the world, with new fall styles and materials arriving in September.
Beau & Ro’s newest line for 2019, the Palm Collection, was inspired by Sara's recent trip to Cartagena, Columbia. The line of colorful, intricate bags is made by the city’s talented female artisans and can be paired with beautiful matching earrings made by the artisans’ daughter which come in a variety of vibrant colors to complement the bags.
Beau & Ro also recently launched The Hat Shop, a line of limited edition hand-painted hats. The hats boast images curated by Sara such as champagne glasses, anchors, and golden retrievers, and are all hand-painted by a Colombian street artist.
In addition to Beau & Ro products, Sara has carefully curated jewelry and apparel from other designers, which will be available at the pop-up. These include jewelry from Charleston-based Holst + Lee, as well as kilim loafers for men and women by Boston-based company Artemis Design Co.
“So much of the Beau & Ro collection was inspired by nautical New England - it is part of the brand’s DNA! And I love any excuse to spend time in Massachusetts in the summer, which makes joining the Derby Street community for a couple months very special for me! I’m excited to bring our signature and new styles to Hingham,” says Sara Rossi, Founder of Beau & Ro.
