Holiday Entertainment & Activities
The Nutcracker Performance by South Shore Ballet Theatre - November 26

Holiday Photo Sessions - All Season Long
Still need a festive photo for this year’s family holiday card? Derby Street Shops is partnering with local photographer, Jackie Averill, for four weekends of mini photo sessions on the Green. Each family will get three professional photos. Sessions are $10 per family and all proceeds will be donated to The Arc of the South Shore, a Hingham based non-profit organization helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live their best lives and achieve high-quality outcomes. Be sure to sign up for Derby Street’s newsletter for the reservation link, going live on November 18.
Santa Stroll - December 3 - 25 (Weekends and select Fridays Only)
Stop by Derby Street on weekends (November 25 - December 23) and you just might run into the big man himself! Guests are invited to stroll the Derby Street sidewalks with Santa Claus as he hands out candy canes and stops for photos. It’s the perfect family-friendly activity!
Also not to be missed: a LIVE performance by local jazz group Asanabenche on Black Friday, November 25, (12-4), Derby Street’s fan favorite Woody Wall featuring a new holiday topper, and more stunning holiday décor including a winter wonderland on the Green and larger than life twinkling stars throughout the property.
Give a Gift to a Child in Need
Taking place throughout the holiday shopping season, Derby Street is hosting its annual Wonderfund Giving Tree initiative. Look for six Christmas Trees located outside of Whole Foods with ornaments that list a specific gift for a child. To participate, shoppers can pick an ornament, purchase and wrap the requested gift, and drop it off at For Now’s pop-up space at 98 Derby Street. The Wonderfund is a private, nonprofit, 501(c)3 that serves children engaged with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families through a unique and exclusive partnership. Further details on The Wonderfund can be found here.
