“All larger-than-life questions about our presence here on earth and what gifts we have to offer are spiritual questions. To seek answers to these questions is to seek a sacred path. As we find our meaning and purpose we also realize that some invisible form of guidance has been leading us. We may not be able to recognize this in the moment, but in looking back over our lives we see the footprints of an invisible being that has guided us, challenged us, and carried us through…
… The Labyrinth, in its strange and uncanny way, offers a sacred and stable space to focus the attention and listen to the longing of the soul.”
Join Brother James Crowley, OSB, to explore the Labyrinth at Glastonbury Abbey. Brother James will share his passion for this ancient metaphor for the spiritual journey. Though not an expert, Brother James has studied, prayed with, and experienced the possibilities of the Labyrinth’s power to reveal the connection between God and oneself. The weekend will include walking our nature inspired Labyrinth as well as learning how to use other sources to gain the same focus.
It should be noted that our outdoor labyrinth is located on the rustic grounds of the abbey. Access to the path may be difficult for those with mobility issues. Contact the registrar if you have concerns.
This program weekend retreat will be presented in person. Online registration is required.
