South Shore Conservatory’s Evenings Under the Stars invites families to embark on a journey of discovery and friendship with “Wild Symphony,” an interactive picture book by Dan Brown, and live concert experience detailing the adventures of Maestro Mouse and his symphonic friends! From the playful “Bouncing Kangaroo” to the majestic “Ponderous Pachyderm,” each movement of the piece, presented by local music educators in Commonwealth Wind Symphony and SSC faculty, introduces children and adults to a delightful menagerie of musical animals. Former SSC preschool teacher Margaret Curtis narrates the piece. Families are given a copy of the book to read along during the concert and to take home and enjoy long after the last note is played. Everyone is invited to stay after the concert for fun activities such as an instrumental petting zoo. All of this in the Carr Amphitheater, One Conservatory Drive, Hingham.
