On Sunday, June 18th, at 10:30am, please join us at the Old Ship Church Meeting House for a Sunday Service devoted to Pride and Our Lives – More Than a Celebration. Then from 12pm – 3pm, join us on the Old Ship Meeting House lawn for an afternoon of Pride celebration activities! We’ll have live music, tie-dye, games, snacks, and lots of fun! This annual event is presented by our church Youth Group and the Welcoming Congregation Committee. All donations will go to The Trevor Project (a suicide hotline). Come celebrate with family and friends, all are welcome!
First Parish became a Welcoming Congregation (UUA’s term for LGBTQ+ welcoming church) in the mid 1990s. Last year we received our first “Five Practices of Welcome Renewal” certificate and are on track to receive our second later this month.
