The first full week of 2021 will be bookended by close brushes with coastal storms.

Here’s what to expect from this week’s weather in Hingham:

Storm Brushes by to Start Week

A coastal storm will graze by New England Monday and Tuesday, bringing some light rain or snow showers to Hingham to start the week. More than anything we’ll just see lots of clouds both days, with occasional spits of precipitation. High temperatures each day will be in the upper 30s to near 40.

Quiet Middle of the Week

The rest of the work-week will be very tranquil and seasonable, with highs near 40 Wednesday through Friday.

We’ll enjoy a fair amount of sunshine during this stretch as well.

Another Storm by Next Weekend

Next weekend brings our next storm chance. It’s a little too early to know exactly what impacts we’ll see—if any—but it’s worth watching.

A storm that moves farther west would potentially bring us rain or snow, while a track farther east would keep most of the precipitation at sea.
