Glastonbury Abbey’s Listening to Other Voices interfaith lecture series, which has been running for 24 years, is an extension of the rich Benedictine monastic teaching tradition found at the Abbey. This year our lecture series looks at the state of religion in America, where our traditions seem to be now and where they may be going with the theme, “The Journey Continues: Reclaiming the Heart of Faith.” Next Thursday, March 23, 7 PM, join us online or in-person at Glastonbury Abbey’s Morcone Conference Center, 20 Hull St, Hingham, for the fourth virtual lecture in this series with author, activist, theologian, Brian D. McLaren, “Staying Christian When the Church is on Fire.” Brian says, “Our message and methodology have changed, do change, and must change if we are faithful to the ongoing and unchanging mission of Jesus Christ.” This quote embodies the journey this theologian has traveled and invites us to join him as he continues his thoughtful work. Registration is required for this free lecture. Go to https://gacc.retreatportal.com for more info and to register. Call 781-749-2155 ext. 331 with any questions.
