The Harbormen's season is not over, but their playoff run is. On an unseasonably warm night north of the border (not really, but close enough), Hingham gave the 6-1 Chelmsford Lions a run for their money. The Lions scored on their opening drive and the 7-0 score stayed that way until late in the first quarter. The Harbormen scored 10 unanswered in under two minutes including tight-end Cam Dobson 43 yard TD receptions. However, on the ensuing kick-off, the Lions returned the insides kick for a touchdown, but missed the PAT.
The second quarter score of 13-10 didn't last long as Chelmsford scored less than a minute into it. Both team added field goals before the half giving the Lions a 23-13 lead at the break. Hingham cut it to 23-19 with a Dobson 32 yard TD pass to Gunnar Corey on their opening possession of the second half. Unfortunately, that was all they come with the in the half and lost 30-19.
Hingham will have two more games this season. A consolation game which has yet to be determined and the Thanksgiving Day game in Scituate.
