The Harbormen are wasting no time in cranking up wins, pulling out an impressive 22-13 win over Whitman-Hanson last Friday night. The Harbormen certainly proved they can play with anyone in Div. 3 South, now ranking #19 MIAA Football Top 25 Poll.
“The team is off to a great start, and their success on the field has contributed to a very positive atmosphere in the school,” said Hingham High School Principal Rick Swanson.
The athleticism up front, and depth have been important cogs in the team’s success.
“Much of this Senior class started Varsity last year and some their Sophomore year and even a couple their Freshman year. There is significant experience in the upperclassmen,” said Hingham Gridiron President Peter Smith.
Hingham will look to move to 3-0 against Silver Lake on Saturday, September 29 at 2:30 pm before a huge showdown at Duxbury on October 5.
“Divisional games are tough and Silver Lake will certainly come ready to play. In the end however, I expect Hingham to come out on top based upon what I know about how the teams have played to date,” added Smith.
