Your 2024/25 MIAA Division I State Champions Hingham Harborwomen
March 20, 2025 – Story and photos by Joshua Ross
It has been four days since the Harborwomen skated off the Garden ice as Division I State Champions after beating Bishop Stang 5-2 in front of thousands of Hingham fans decked in red.
I’ve been having a tough time figuring out how to describe the game, the season, and their overall journey the past few day so I thought I would do what usually do and let the photos speak for themselves.
I will say this though – this team might go down as not only one of the best HHS hockey teams, but one of the best teams in MIAA history. From the first puck drop on 12/18 to the final horn coming from the Garden rafters Sunday afternoon, the Harborwomen have been the top girls team in the state and lived up to every expectation and overcame every obstacle presented to them. They got each team’s best effort every game and handled it as champions do.
It has been an honor and privilege covering this team over the past few years. However, I have been taking photos of most of them since they first learned to play. They have become amazing role models for the future generation of Harborwomen and represented themselves, the school, and Hingham with class.
Coach Turner summed it up best last night at the yearend banquet when she said “it may have not been a perfect season, but it ended perfectly.”
Congrats to the players, the coaches, the parents (many of whom coached the girls at some point in their careers), and the fans. Thanks for letting me tag along on this amazing ride.
Let’s do it again in 360 days.
