Hazzah, Hazzah, come one, come all, you are welcome to attend this event as a call to action to ring the 200 year old bell in the Old Ship Meeting House. Come by 5:45 on Friday, April 18. This event is held in conjunction with the service and bell ringing at Old North Church to commemorate the day the American people rose up against tyranny and began the long struggle for freedom, liberty and justice for all that continues today. When the two lanterns were hung in the bell tower, it represented the “Regulars” or British troops coming by sea. This action led to the rides of Paul Revere, William Dawes and Samuel Prescott and the “shot heard round the world” at the North Bridge in Concord on April 19.
