Harbormen with 2nd place finish, 11 personal bests at Championships

Sophomore Steve McDougall finishes 6th in the 200 yd Individual Medley with a personal best time of 2:21. He also finished 6th in the 100 yd Butterfly.
Junior Captain Nolan Doherty, who has qualified for both Sectionals and States in the 100 yd Backstroke, finished in 2nd place with a time of 1:00. He also came in 4th in the 50 yd Freestyle and was on the 2nd place 200 yd Medley Relay and 2nd place 200 yd Freestyle Relay. Nolan was also named a Patriot League All-Star this year.
Junior Captain Declan Flynn finished the 200 yd Freestyle in the top 12 earning much needed points for the Harbormen during the Championship meet.
Junior PJ Harrington finished 3rd in the 100 yd Freestyle with a time of :54 seconds and finished third in the 100 yd Backstroke with a personal best time of 1:02. He was also on the 2nd place 200 yd Medley Relay team and the 2nd place 400 yd Freestyle Relay team.
Sophomore Sam Bennion dives in at the start of his 200 yd Freestyle race finishing in 5th place. He was 1 of 3 Hingham swimmers who placed in the top 12 of that race, which was one of the most successful races at the meet. Sam also had a personal best in the 100 yd Freestyle with a time of 58.5 and an 8th place finish.
Junior Ian Strehle had personal bests in 2 races, 100 yd Breastroke (4th place) with a 1:11 and 50 yd Freestyle (8th place) with a 25.1 time.
Junior Michael MacDonald also had a personal best in the 100 yd Freestyle with a time of 1:06. He also swam on the 8th place 400 yd Freestyle Relay team.
Sophomore Jake Bednarski took 2nd place in the 100 yd Butterfly, which he will be racing in Sectionals and States. He was also 4th in the 500 yard Freestyle and on the 2nd place 200 yd Medley Relay team. Jake was also named a Patriot League All-Star this season.
Junior Pierce Donegan came in 6th in the 500 yd Freestyle and 8th in the 200 yd Freestyle. He was also part of the 3rd place 400 yd Freestyle Relay team.
Junior Mitch Wilson had a great meet competing in the 50 yd and 100 yd Freestyle and was on the 8th place 400 yd Freestyle Relay team.
