The Hingham boys tennis team started its season in style, working its way to a 7-0 record, but the boys hit a bump in the road on Tuesday, dropping a hard fought 3-2 decision at Cohasset.
The match came down to first singles, where Jack Price fought a tough match against Cohasset’s Charlie Lankow that featured a ton of back and forth action over more than two hours of play before Lankow took a 7-6, 6-2 loss.
At second singles, Travis Rugg beat Archer Merton 6-2, 6-3 and the first doubles team of Nick Dubois and Ben LaRhette were 6-3, 7-6 winners over Josh Kripke and Eamon Maxwell.
At second doubles, Trevor Buckridge and Charlie Even lost 6-2, 6-4.
The day before, Hingham beat North Quincy 4-1.
Against North Quincy, Thomas Fabrizio and Hector Munoz won in singles, and Dominic Kanter withWill Baker and Logan Price and Miguel Alonzo won their doubles matches for the Harbormen.
