Hingham High School Boys Tennis opened their season Friday with a clean sweep against Plymouth South. Returning court 1 singles player, senior and captain, Jack Price, battled to win a tie-breaker closing the first set 7-6 before winning the second set 6-4. Senior captain Dominic Kanter paired up with junior Will Baker on court 1 doubles to swiftly defeat their opponents 6-1, 6-0. Both court 2 singles and court 2 doubles, played by sophomore Travis Rugg and juniors Nick Dubois / Ben LaRhette respectively, would not give up a single game, winning in straight sets 6-0, 6-0. On court 3 singles, junior Thomas Fabrizio made quick work ending up 6-2, 6-1. The boys next travel to Silver Lake and Scituate before returning to their home courts after spring break.
