Funky Feet School of Dance, a program at the Town of Hingham’s Recreation Department, hosted its annual children’s Dance Recital on Saturday, May 18.
The Funky Feet School of Dance’s annual recital sold 2,000 seats for its four recitals hosted at Hingham Middle School! Children as young as two years old, up through high school, took the stage and performed various dance styles including ballet, tap, hip-hop, jazz, funk and more!
Each year, 500 students participate in the Funky Feet School of Dance program which runs September through May, six days a week. Classes meet once day a week and run for 30 – 60 minutes depending on the dancer’s age and type of dance class. An assortment of classes is offered from learning the basics in ballet and tap to options like hip hop and musical theatre.
