Due to damage to the Hingham commuter boat dock during last night's storm, Hingham ferry service will be suspended today, Oct. 8, while repairs are being made.
"Hingham commuters are encouraged to use the Greenbush commuter rail line or the ferry from Hull [while repairs are being made]," MBTA Spokesperson Joe Pesaturo told the Hingham Anchor.
Because the dock was unusable, buses shuttled commuters between Hull and Hingham yesterday.
"A structural engineering team has been dispatched to Hingham to assess some storm-related damage to the main gangway," Pesaturo said. "Updates will be provided as more information becomes available. "
