On Saturday, November 23, students from around the area auditioned to participate in the Massachusetts Music Educators Association Southeastern Senior District Music Festival. Several students from the Hingham High School Music Department were accepted into the festival. The festival will take place on Friday, January 10, and Saturday, January 11, at Somerset-Berkley Regional High School in Somerset, Massachusetts.

Across the band, chorus, and orchestra categories, the following twenty-eight Hingham High School students were accepted. Based on their exceptional performance at the district auditions, the thirteen students with an asterisk after their names also received recommendations to audition for the Massachusetts Music Educators Association All-State Music Festival to be held in March.
