Hingham High School Seniors Molly Schwall and Claire Haney were excited to enter the recent Hingham Historical Commission Essay Contest and even more pleased when they were announced the winners for their essay on the history of World's End entitled "World's End: Hingham's Prized Possession." They were presented with a certificate memorializing the award during a High School assembly today (April 3) and will split the $500 cash award. Molly is off to the University of Michigan in the fall.  Claire will attend George Washington University in D.C.

The contest was open to any student living in Hingham and attending public or private high school at any grade level.  The theme for the essay contest was any aspect of Hingham's history occurring in or before 1945.
