The Hingham Historical Society will host the 98th Historic House Tour on Sunday, September 29th from 11am-4pm. As the country looks to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, the 2024 Historic House Tour will feature six beautiful private homes once occupied by American Revolutionary War Patriots, as well as five iconic public properties: the Benjamin Lincoln House and the Old Ordinary, the Hingham Heritage Museum, the Old Ship Meetinghouse, and the Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Hall (GAR Hall).
Each of the private homes featured on this year’s tour, as well as, the Benjamin Lincoln House, the Old Ordinary and Old Ship Meetinghouse were all built before 1775.
As a special tradition to the tour, stunning floral arrangements will be created by the Garden Club of Hingham to compliment the elegance of each home.
The Hingham Historical Society looks forward to welcoming guests from the south shore and beyond to one of the oldest and longest running house tours in the country, dating back to 1924.
Tickets can be purchased on the Society’s website www.hinghamhistorical.org or in the Hingham Heritage Museum Visitor Center, 34 Main Street open Tuesday-Saturday 10am-4pm.
