The Hingham Historical Society is hosting From Lincoln Street to the World: Massa Sonar & Ultrasonic Products. Much of the undersea technologies that are the eyes and ears of naval ships and submarines that protect the U.S. coastline are Massa products. Included are the first burglar alarm, monitoring devices for the infamous windows on Boston’s John Hancock Tower, and the largest sonar array ever built in U.S History. Come learn about pioneering founder, Frank Massa from his son, Don and granddaughter, Dawn who now lead this award-winning, cutting edge family business.
Developed by the Society’s Education Committee, this is the sixth of a seven-part lecture series entitled The Spirit of Enterprise focusing on the businesses of today and yesterday. The remaining lecture in the series is Hingham’s Country Store presented by Town Historian Alec MacMillan.
