The Hull Artists association exhibit, “Our Captivating South Shore,” will be on display from Oct. 29 through Dec. 1 in the Hingham Public Library’s Dolphin Gallery. The exhibited art is by members of Hull Artists and represents the mediums of painting as well as watercolor, drawing, and photography.
The community is invited to join the artists for a reception in the gallery on Thursday, Nov. 3, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Hull Artists (HA), founded in 1995, is a nonprofit arts association of nearly 150 members that promotes locally produced fine art and craft. Although based in Hull, HA's members live throughout the South Shore region. HA operates Gallery Nantasket, a year-round retail gallery, exhibiting the work of more than 25 fine art and craft artists. The gallery was recently voted Best on the South Shore for Artisan Gifts. The association's signature event is the two Open Studios weekends held each summer in which artists open up their homes and studios to about 1,000 visitors who come to meet the artists while viewing and purchasing their art.
HA also produces an annual regional juried art show each spring and maintains year- round member exhibitions throughout Hull and Cohasset. HA members offer classes at the Hull Senior Center and elsewhere.
HA encourages both artists and non-artist patrons to support local arts by joining this vibrant association online at HullArtists.com.
