Thursday, May 16, 7 p.m. Join Kate Bowler as she talks about her book "New England Invite: Fresh Feasts to Savor the Seasons. " The book was inspired by the seasons of New England and entertaining at home with friends and family and is brimming with easy recipes, make-ahead tips, personal stories, and the tools you need for making entertaining at home an effortless task.
UPCOMING EVENTS:
Timing the Tides: Wednesday, May 8, 7 p.m. Would you like to go paddling on the North and South Rivers and learn to navigate them safely but aren’t sure how to time the tides, where to put your paddles in, or how to decide the best itineraries? Then the NSRWA's (North & South Rivers Watershed Association) "Timing the Tides: a guide to paddling on the rivers" workshop is just for you. This virtual tour is designed to provide all you need to know to navigate these rivers safely and find out some of the important nature and history you will see while out on your adventure.
Sustainable Landscaping: Saturday, May 11, 2 p.m. Many of us spend our valuable time and money trying to attain the perfect lawn. But why? And is there an alternative? Melanie Trecek-King will share ways to garden with a lighter environmental footprint and transform your yard into a space that your family (and nature!) can enjoy.
Join Trecek-King as she helps us to better understand the effects of our presence on nature and how we can improve our lawn, garden, and more in an environmentally conscious way without breaking the bank. There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the conclusion of the program.
