Hingham Police First Night Out will be held at Cronin Field on Sunday August 4th at 5:30pm with a rain date of Monday, August 5th. Our local event stems from the National First Night out celebration which focuses on promoting police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer. Vendors include: 3rd Alarm Wood Fire Pizza, Nona’s Ice Cream Truck and Sadie Mae’s Cupcakes. There will be K-9 Demos, Station Tours, Police Vehicles and the Hingham Fire Department. New York Life will host a table and be making free Safety CDs for families. The night will conclude at sunset with Zootopia being played on the big screen.
Nancy Mcaloon, who is sponsoring the event through her New York Life Insurance business tells the Anchor, "this event is important as it gives our community a chance to connect with our local law enforcement on a personal level. I am thankful for what they do for our community everyday. Through our sponsorships of Child ID events, New York Life is able to give back and provide peace of mind to local families, while providing law enforcement vital information they need in case of an emergency”
