Boston Classical Guitar Society Concert Series: David William Ross
Sunday, March 10 at 3:00 in the Library’s Whiton Room
This month’s Boston Classical Guitar Concert features David William Ross, a guitarist with a wide range and unique approach to the instrument.

The Hingham Library and the Boston Classical Guitar Society gratefully acknowledge the support of Coastal Heritage Bank for this season’s concert series.

Public Health Series: Colon Health with Hingham Nurse Teresa Flynn, BSN
Monday, March 18 at 7:00 in the Library’s Whiton Room
Join Hingham Public Health Nurse Teresa Flynn for a new series of programs throughout 2024 that aim to provide helpful information and resources that cover various health topics.

Our March presentation will be focused on colon health. Teresa Flynn, BSN was previously the public health nurse for the Town of Marshfield as well as an emergency room/trauma nurse at Rhode Island Hospital.

Evening With the Author: Mark Daley presents Safe: A Memoir of Fatherhood, Foster Care, and the Risks We Take for Family

In his new memoir, longtime activist Mark Daley traces his unlikely journey to parenthood through the American foster care system.

Mark Daley is a social activist, entrepreneur, and foster-turned-adoptive father. He is the founder of One Iowa, the state’s largest LGBTQ+ equality organization, and TheFosterParent.com, a national platform to connect interested families with foster organizations. He resides in Los Angeles with his family.

Sun & Moon: A History of Eclipses with Dr. Tyler Nordgren

In advance of the near total solar eclipse on April 8th, the Hingham Public Library invites you to join author and astronomer Dr. Tyler Nordgren to learn about the fascinating history of eclipses throughout time and how these events have influenced humans for millennia.

Dr. Tyler Nordgren is a professional astronomer and artist. He wrote the book, SUN MOON EARTH: The History of Solar Eclipses from Omens of Doom to Einstein and Exoplanets and his posters for the 2017 eclipse were acquired by the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in 2020.
