The Town of Hingham would like to provide an update to the protocols that will be in place for tomorrow's COVID-19 vaccination booster clinic.

The clinic will take place Tuesday, Dec. 28 from 9 a.m. to noon at the South Shore Baptist Church, 578 Main St. The clinic is being offered to eligible residents age 18 and older, and is being offered by the Town of Hingham in cooperation with the Police and Fire Departments and Health Department.

The clinic is full and is not accepting additional registrations.

This will be a drive-up clinic. Those receiving a booster will not need to exit their vehicles, and a member of the Hingham Fire Department will administer the shot.

Upon arrival to the site, vehicles should enter the parking lot through the Free Street entrance (not the Main Street entrance) where they will be directed to the check-in area before proceeding to the vaccination point. Once the shot has been given, vehicles will be directed to a designated area of the parking lot for medical observation of residents post-vaccination.

Residents are reminded that facial coverings should be worn at all times while on site, even with residents remaining in their vehicles.

"This clinic will provide eligible residents the chance to receive their COVID-19 booster, which is a critical step in stopping the spread of the virus," Executive Health Officer Susan Sarni said. "Utilizing the drive-up option will make the process safe and convenient for all those involved. The Town would like to thank those who worked hard to make this clinic possible, including our public health workers and first responders, as well as members of the South Shore Baptist Church for hosting."

Clinic Details:
The clinic will be providing 100 doses of the Moderna booster. Those looking for their first or second dose of the vaccine, those looking for a vaccine for younger children, or those specifically looking for the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 booster should visit the state’s Vaxfinder website here.

Anyone with questions is asked to contact the Hingham Health Department at 781-741-1466 or the Hingham Fire Department at 781-741-1480. The South Shore Baptist Church is the host only for the clinic, and the church should not be contacted for more information.

An additional Moderna booster clinic will be held in January, and the Town will provide additional information when it becomes available.
