A sell-out crowd enjoyed Hingham Historical Society’s Tavern Night at Old Ordinary at 21 Lincoln St. on Saturday, October 23rd. Greeted upon arrival by the Hingham Militia, over 350 guests enjoyed a tour of the first floor of the house and tavern and continued to a tent in the parking lot for beer and BBQ. The Cocktail Guru made colonial cocktails and live music from Hingham’s Raw Generic had the crowd dancing. The event was a fundraiser for the Society which is an independent nonprofit. Sponsors of the event included Boston Beer Company, brewers of Sam Adams, Burke Distributing and Egle Ruth Photography. Parking was generously provided by St. Paul Parish. A wonderful celebration of Hingham history and the Old Ordinary was enjoyed by all.

  1. It was a very fun event, I must admit. But I did notice there was zero diversity. We should be welcoming in our African-American and LatinX neighbors, perhaps with complementary admittance. Just saying, it’s our duty to be inclusive.
