Janet (Ford) Magner, of Hingham, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at the age of 84.
Beloved wife of the late Robert (Bob) Magner. Loving mother to Robert Magner and his wife Tikoo of Shrewsbury, Janet Daigle and her husband Thomas of Louisiana, Kathy Magner (Packard) of Hingham, John Magner and his wife Michelle of Hingham, Michael Magner and his wife Anna of Dartmouth, Brian Magner and his wife Erica of Hingham, and the late Rachel Magner. Grandmother of 19 loving grandchildren. Sister of Lawrence Ford (Marylou) of Maine, Paul Ford (Joyce) of Connecticut, and John Ford (Michal) of Florida. She is also survived by Bonnie, her loyal canine companion.
Mrs. Magner was born in Brighton and raised in Hingham and was a graduate of Hingham High School, class of 1956. She was a paraprofessional in the Hingham School systems for many years.
She was also a volunteer with the Swim with a Special Child program in Weymouth. She was an active member of the St. Paul Church and community. She was a wonderful woman who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday November 2nd, 2023 at Saint Paul’s Church, 147 North Street Hingham, at 10:00 a.m. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Interment will be held in Saint Paul’s Cemetery.
