The Trustees of Reservations (The Trustees) today announces a Summer Send-Off celebration at World’s End on Saturday, August 28, 2021. Building upon the popularity of the Trustee’s annual Solstice picnic in June, The Aldous Collins Band headlines an evening of music featuring local high school band Clusterfly. New this year, Burke’s Alewerks, Stellwagen Brewery, and Vitamin Sea bring the South Shore love to the top of Planter’s Hill with The Away Café food truck.
“It’s been an extraordinary summer,” says the Trustees South Shore Portfolio Director Anne Smith-White. “After a year of COVID, people are thrilled to be out, experiencing our beautiful South Shore Trustees properties. We have seen record attendance at everything from summer camp and Sunset Picnics to barnyard programs at Weir River Farm. We welcome everyone to celebrate the end of this glorious season by gathering in a beautiful place, relaxing with a picnic and a beer, and enjoying the sunset together.”
Cost of admission is $40 per car, $32 per car for Trustees members. A rain date is planned for Sunday, August 29. Per State guidelines, non-vaccinated individuals are advised to continue wearing face masks and to continue distancing. Pre-registration is required.
