Joseph Anthony “Joe” Reale, of Hingham, MA died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. He was 57.
Born in Dorchester, MA on February 18, 1965, he was raised in Hanover, MA. He attended local schools and graduated from Hanover High School with the Class of 1983. Over the past twenty-five years, he also lived in Wellington FL, Weddington NC, and Paradise Valley, AZ.
A lifelong entrepreneur, Joe started his first business in the early 1980’s and enjoyed a successful thirty-five-year career investing in various businesses and real estate projects. In his personal life, Joe enjoyed playing chess, sailing, cycling, and the outdoors, especially the ocean and the mountains.
Joe’s love for his family was unmatched – they were most important part of his life. Joe was a generous and selfless man. He would do anything for the people that he cared for. He was intelligent, funny, and creative in many ways. Joe’s affectionate demeanor and great sense of humor are part of his legacy that continue through his family. He will be missed by all the lives he touched.
Joe was the beloved husband of Karen J. (Bianchi) Reale of Hingham. The two married on May 28, 1993, in the Vatican City, Rome. Together they shared twenty-nine loving years. He was the devoted father of Christina B. Reale and Joseph S. Reale. Joe was the treasured brother of eleven siblings, and is also survived by his father, Albert Reale, many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Following cremation, a Celebration of Life will be held at Alma Nove in Hingham on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 3 PM. The program will be approximately two hours. Those who loved Joe are welcome to attend.
