Judith “Judy” Amonte of Hingham, passed away on January 21, 2022.
Judy was the loving mother of Sharon Notarangelo and her husband Paul of Scituate; and Lisa Lloyd and her husband Christopher of Santa Barbara, CA . Sister of Joseph Amonte of Homossasa, Florida, and the late Louis Amonte, Frank Amonte and Carlene Brennan. Cherished grandmother of John Notarangelo, Jacob Greenspan and Allison Notarangelo. Judy is survived by her sister-in-law Dianne Amonte of Hobe Sound, Florida, Susan Amonte of North Port, Florida, brother-in-law George Brennan and his wife Marie of Boynton Beach, Florida. Judy is also survived by her former spouse John Loiacono of Hingham and many nieces, nephews and cousins and by her adored Bella, her 5lb yorkshire terrier who could always be found by her side.
Judy was a talented and generous women with a deep love for her family and friends. She adored her grandchildren and loved seeing them mature into young adults. She loved nothing more than to share her baking, crafting and knitting skills. She loved to knit baby blankets for newborn babies of relatives and friends. She also donated many to South Shore Hospital’s maternity ward. She set aside eight blankets for her future great- grandchildren. She was an avid Boston Bruins fan and had season tickets for many years and rarely missed a game. She loved to travel and enjoyed many trips around the country to visit her large family, but had a special place in her heart for Aruba and Italy.
Judy will be remembered for her generosity, love of family and friends along with her quick wit and delicious apple pies.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 10 am in St. Paul’s Church, 147 North Street, Hingham, MA.
