July 12, 2021

On Monday, July 5, 2021 Kenneth “Ken” John Kilduff, loving husband and father of two young children, passed away at the age of 47 after battling Frontotemporal Dementia.

Ken was born in western Massachusetts spending his childhood years in Wilbraham.   After high school Ken graduated from Fitchburg State College and settled in the Boston area to begin a successful career in financial data, services and software sales.  Ken eventually made a home in Hingham, MA with his wife where they expanded their family with the birth of their two boys.

Prior to his diagnosis, Ken was known for his quick wit, his hilarity when telling stories and his sharp intelligence.  All those qualities combined to endear him to anyone who met him.  He made lasting friends throughout his life starting in middle school when he met his “brothers” Andrew “Andy” Hersman and Christian “Chris” Kuselias.  In high school he added to his friendships, most notably with another “brother” Mark Haggerty.  In college and beyond, on the ballfield or at work, Ken amassed an awe-inspiring number of “bromances”.  He was affectionately known to his friends as “Kenny” and “Duffy”.

Ken was an avid athlete and lover of sports.  He twice completed the Boston Marathon and ran numerous other races.   Baseball is where Ken excelled.  Ken was best known for his prowess on the mound.  As a crafty southpaw, he delivered a wicked slider baffling many a-batter. Ken was seen by his teammates not only as a friend but also as the perfect teammate, a mentor and role model.  Ken played baseball most of his adult life making lifelong friendships.

Ken was a devoted father and husband to his wife and children.  His greatest accomplishment was being a dad to his two sons.

Ken is survived by his mother, Margo Kilduff of Ludlow MA, his brother and sister in-law Keith and Isabel Kilduff of Ludlow MA, his sister Kelly Daly of Cusetta, AL and numerous nieces and nephews.  Ken also leaves behind his wife, Jennifer Kilduff and his two sons, Carter and Keegan ages nine and seven respectively of Hingham, MA.

Ken joins his father Keith Kilduff (sr.) and his sister Sherry McGraw who predeceased him.

Visitation will be held at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home in Springfield MA on July 29th from 10:00am-12:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Association For Frontotemporal Dementia (https://www.theaftd.org/get-involved/ways-to-give/)
