The Harbormen were relentless on the turf today, defeating Duxbury 4-1. Hingham shot out of the gates with an early goal from Senior Michael McNabb only 9 minutes into the match. For the rest of the half, it was about keeping Duxbury away with great defense. Going into the half, Hingham led 1-0.

The second half picked up where the 1st half left off, a mostly physical and aggressive defensive game. 10 minutes into the second half Duxbury was able to get on the board, tying the game 1-1. The game was tied, at least until Hingham broke away. Senior Alessandro Neyra scored his 1st of two goals with 14 minutes left in the game. This lead the Habormen gained would not be given up for the rest of the game. A defensive play by Junior Jack Monroe led to another goal by Freshman Kwaku Opong with only 9 minutes left to play. Neyra would strike once again, scoring late in the game to secure the game for the Harbormen.

Alessandro Neyra put the Harbormen up 2-1 with direct kick 30 yards out. He added a second goal later in the half.

Neyra proved to be able to execute in crucial situations. His 1st goal propelled Hingham forward and to not look back for one second. When asked about how he was able to execute under pressure, he explained, “It was 1-1 and we needed one. It was just me vs myself on that freekick and I was able to score.” A great bounceback in the second half by the boys and a great win.
