Linden Ponds, an Erickson Senior Living-managed retirement community in Hingham, Ma., is proud to announce the grand opening of Granite Commons, an exciting expansion within its continuing care neighborhood.
The grand opening celebration offered community members the chance to participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony, tour the new spaces, and learn more about the comprehensive services Granite Commons provides.
“The ribbon cutting for Granite Commons was a wonderful celebration of the growth of our community, providing the continuum of care services to Linden Ponds residents and local seniors for years to come,” stated Jim Centola, Executive Director. “Granite Commons will continue to provide residents with quality and compassionate care right here on campus should they need it.”
The new two-story assisted care building features 50 residences consisting of studios, one- and two-bedroom floor plans, amenity spaces, and enclosed courtyards. Amenities at Granite Commons include activity and programming spaces, family kitchen, living room, games lounge, library, media room, bistro, restaurant, fitness room, sun porches, and an interior courtyard with a variety of features including outdoor dining, fireplace, and bocce ball.
In attendance at the event were National Senior Communities Chair, Zina Jacque, State Senator Patrick O’Connor, State Representative Joan Meschino, and Hingham Town Administrator Thomas Mayo.
SFCS Architects served as the project architect, and Callahan Construction Managers was the general contractor.
In addition to its continuing care neighborhood, Linden Ponds is home to a vibrant independent living neighborhood with more than 1,400 residents enjoying an active, engaged retirement lifestyle.
