Police Respond to Bomb Threat at Linden Ponds- No Suspicious Devices Found

On Monday, October 19,  2020 at 11:00am Linden Ponds, a senior living community in Hingham, received bomb threats by phone.

Linden Ponds is a senior retirement community with approximately 1,200 residents on a 108 acre gated campus. Officers responded with the Hingham Fire Department and the residents were instructed to shelter in place.

According to Dan Dunne, a spokesperson for Erickson Senior Living, the company that owns Linden Ponds, "the safety and welfare of those on campus was ensured at all times."

Additional police officers from Cohasset, Hull, Norwell, Rockland, Scituate and Weymouth responded to assist in securing and searching the campus. Numerous K9’s from the ATF Boston Office, Massachusetts State Police and Quincy Police also responded and searched the buildings.

No suspicious devices were found. The shelter in place ended at 4pm. There were no injuries.

The incident remains under investigation by Hingham Detectives.
