Hingham, meet Morgan and Dave!

Tell us a little bit about your team? 
The team founders of Strobeck Antonell Bull & Co, are Morgan (me) and Dave Antonell, Geoff Strobeck, and Dana Bull. Dave and I live in Hingham (Liberty Pole) and have 2 kids, Avery (6) and Cruz (3). Geoff, his wife, and their 3 boys live in Hanover. Dana, her husband, and their 3 kids live in Marblehead…but it’s only a matter of time until we convince them to move to the South Shore.

As best friends turned business partners, we aim to provide a professional yet interpersonal real estate experience.  If you aren’t recommending us to your friends and family by the end of a transaction together, we aren’t doing our jobs right. This has been our team’s motto since day one.

How did you get into Real Estate?
Both Dave and I have our M.Ed in education and were teachers for about 10 years before taking the plunge into real estate. Dave has always had a passion for real estate, which he inherited from his dad who made a career in real estate development. Dave’s enthusiasm was so contagious that I eventually ended up joining him! Interestingly, we’ve both been in the same vocations since we got married 13 years ago! We’re either crazy or super aligned- maybe both!

What do you love about Real Estate?
What lights us up the most about our career is helping our clients build generational wealth through real estate. We firmly believe that buying, selling, or investing well has the power to change people’s lives. We also love the lifelong connections that we make with our clients. It’s so rewarding meeting new people and quickly becoming saved to their speed dial as we support them through these huge life decisions!

What is your advice for a prospective buyer?
This will be a wise year to buy. Interest rates on mortgages are predicted to dip below 6% which will revive inventory and pull buyers off the bench who had paused their search last year!

The spring and early summer months are the most popular time to buy and sell real estate on the South Shore and you can expect an uptick in available homes for sale. Here are our recommended steps to set yourself up for success. The first step is to schedule a buyer consultation to develop a purchase strategy. During this session, we’ll review your goals and determine a plan to make you stand out against other buyers in this competitive real estate market. You’ll receive a breakdown of current trends, local data, and an overview of the home buying process. Next, we’ll surround you with the best. Who you work with matters and by aligning you with a team of expert lenders and attorneys we can turn your home buying dreams into keys in hand.

What is your advice for a prospective seller?
Home values continue to increase on the South Shore. If you live in Hingham or Cohasset, your home sale will very likely yield you a great return. Even in a hot market, with strong buyer demand – excellent marketing and timing matters. Your home sale process must come with a highly strategic and targeted marketing campaign to ensure that you maximize profits. Having sold hundreds of homes across the region, we know what works (and what doesn’t!) Our advice is to speak with an agent as soon as possible. Although we have successfully listed homes with as little as 48 hours’ notice, we tend to see the best results when there’s time to properly prepare and position the home. During a listing consultation, we can discuss pricing and specific ways to optimize your net proceeds.

What are some of your favorite local spots?
Oh this question is hard because we love it all! For dinner, it’s either Tosca or Square Cafe. For coffee, it’s Red Eye or Seabird. And for breakfast, it’s always the Strawberry Fair.

Why is community so important to you as a team and how do you support it in your business?
Community is SO important- and as real estate advisors, we’re committed to helping people find and become rooted in community. Neighborhood culture builds character in all of us, especially our children. Dave and I always tell our kids this: if we were to move tomorrow and no one notices, then we haven’t served our neighbors well. Our team has a financial goal to give back to our communities this year. One of the ways that we are doing this is by donating $1,000 to the Hingham Anchor and Cohasset Anchor and $1,000 to organizations that support Hingham Education and Cohasset Education for each transaction that we do in Hingham or Cohasset. We absolutely love what Hilary is doing at the Anchor and how she’s working hard to provide us with local news at no cost! It’s pretty incredible and she’s adding so much value to our community. And as former educators, we’re still extremely passionate about seeing kids thrive in schools. Giving back in these two ways feels personal to us.
