The Cou-gears, Notre Dame Academy’s Robotics Team, is heading to the FTC State competition!
The school and team are pleased and proud that they have qualified for the state competition which will take place on Saturday, March 9 in Andover.
The team had an outstanding day on January 13 when they competed at the qualifier at Lexington High School. All teams are placed in randomized alliances for five rounds. During these early rounds, teams pay close attention to the strengths of their partners as well as the other competitors as final round alliances are by invitation. The Notre Dame robot performed extremely well earning NDA their spot on the three-team alliance that ended the competition in first place!

In addition to being a part of the winning alliance, the Cou-Gears were awarded the Inspire Award, the highest award of the day, which recognizes the team whose efforts and accomplishments were excellent in all categories and an inspiration to all competitors and coaches. This award reflects the efforts of the entire team in areas including engineering, coding, building, documentation, community outreach, and gracious professionalism.

The team is working hard to prepare for the state competition and they know that whatever the outcome, they will have given their very best to achieve success and to make the school community proud.
