Louis Milton Marini, 94, It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louis Milton Marini of Hingham, who passed away on March 7, 2025, after a brief illness. Lou, as he was affectionately known, was a loving husband, father and grandfather whose kindness and warm spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Born in Quincy, MA, Lou lived a life full of achievement, love and treasured memories. A talented athlete, Lou was an exceptional left-handed pitcher throughout his high school years, earning a well-deserved spot in the Quincy High School Athletics Hall of Fame. His talent led him to the minor leagues, where he played for the Philadelphia Athletics, now known as the Oakland Athletics. Lou was known for his passion for the game and his competitive spirit.
Beyond his athletic career, Lou proudly served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Japan. After his service, he dedicated his professional life to Pneumatic Scale Corp., where he held various positions. In addition, he served as the Chief Steward of his union. His commitment to both his trade and colleagues made a lasting impact on everyone he met.
Lou was an avid traveler, who found joy in reading, relaxing at the beach and spending time on the golf course. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather, who cherished his family above all else. His quiet strength, unwavering love, and sense of humor will be remembered fondly by all.
Lou is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren, who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 10 AM in Church of the Resurrection, 1057 Main St., Hingham, MA 02043.
Services will conclude with interment and military honors in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
