If you are a Dad, you may get the annual question from your adult children, “Hey Dad, what do you want for Father’s Day this year.” They know that I have most of what I need and if not, I can just buy it. So what they are looking for is to give something special. Several year ago, I responded, “Tell me a memory of us from your childhood.” What was revealed were memories long forgotten by me but long remembered by them. Here is one from my daughter Laura from 2015.
What a treasure! I created a special diary – “Favorite Father’s Day Stories” and saved each one. By the way, these stories work for Mother’s Day also.
