A win is a win…and sometimes a tie is a win.  The Harborwomen came into yesterday’s game against the 13-0-0 Duxbury Dragon’s looking to avenge an early season 2-1.  Since the first game, Hingham is 7-2 and playing their best hockey.  While Hingham has moved up to the 8th spot in the MIAA rankings for Division I this week, Duxbury is sitting in the number 2 position in Division II.  Hingham scored first when sophomore Caroline Doherty rifled one past the goalie late in the first period.  Duxbury tied it up in the second period on a power play goal.  Freshman goalie Izzy McGarr had another outstanding game make some huge saves late in the game, including some in the last 2 minute of regulation while Hingham was on the penalty kill.  The defense was great the whole game and freshman Katie Teague was all over the ice matching the speed and intensity of her opponents.  The tie is the first blemish on Duxbury’s record this season.

The Harborwomen will next take on Plymouth South on Wednesday night at home.
