Searching for your Great Pumpkin this Spooky Season? Look no further: pumpkins of all shapes and sizes can be found at a farm stand near you! Whether your pumpkin is for baking or decorating, here are three local places you can pick your own pumpkins:
Cohasset ASP Patch
Located at: Wheelwright Farm on Main Street, Cohasset
Dates and hours of operation: Starting in October, open daily 10am to 7pm
Price per pumpkin: "Ranging from .50¢ to $50!"
Alright, so this patch isn’t in Hingham, but Cohasset is close enough to be convenient!
Plus, picking at the ASP (Appalachia Service Project) Patch goes to a great cause: this is the ASP’s biggest fundraiser for their annual summer service trip to Appalachia, where attendees assist local residents living in the poorest counties in the United States in repairing and improving their homes. The patch is volunteer-run and tons of fun! Make a morning of it one weekend, or head over after work; the ASP Patch is open daily from 10am to 7pm, so it's a very flexible fit that can add some fall fun into even the busiest of schedules!

Main Street Pumpkin Patch at Second Parish
Located at: Second Parish at 685 Main Street, Hingham

An iconic staple of Main Street Hingham, the Second Parish Pumpkin Patch is an annual sign Halloween is just on the horizon: stop in one weekend for locally-sourced gourds, family-friendly good times, and great photo ops!
Special offerings for this patch include sugar pumpkins, perfect for baking or decorating, as well as Halloween-themed face masks, handcrafted festive fall items, and a fun photo booth; the Parish is also taking advanced orders for pies (and trust me, you won't want to miss out!). Be on the lookout for pop-up puppet shows too; visit their website and Facebook page for more information.
Weston Nurseries
Located at: Weston Nurseries' Hingham location at 1099 Main Street, Hingham

Weston Nurseries’ Hingham location, once Lambert’s Garden Center, offers customers an ample selection of premium pumpkins that are all Massachusetts-grown.
Melissa Frank, Director of Marketing and Special Events at Weston Nurseries, says to expect "some fun food trucks coming [to the Hingham location] on weekends." They are also currently raising money for the Jimmy Fund through the month of October, so you can pick with a purpose!
