Police Release: Break Into Business Through Holes Cut in Roof

A business was broken into where the suspect(s) cut the phone lines and cut holes in the roof to enter the building.

On Saturday August 15, 2020 at 7:15am Officers responded to the BP gas station at 4 Whiting Street for a break in that occurred overnight. The business owner had arrived at work and found two holes had been cut into the roof and the phone lines were not working.

Officers found the phone lines had been cut on the outside of the building to disable the alarm system and two holes were cut from the roof. The suspects then climbed into the office. The inside of the business had been rummaged through and small amount of money was taken.

The break happened between 11pm -7:15am. The gas station is located at the intersection of Routes 53 and 228.
