Monday, July 18th

Director of Veterans' Services Keith Jermyn and the Town of Hingham regret to announce the passing of Active Duty U.S. Marine Sgt. Matthew P. Partyka. There will be a State Police Escort to bring him home TONIGHT (Monday, 7/18).

The procession’s arrival at the Hingham town line is expected to be at approximately 8:00 p.m. (note, this is a new time as the original plane was delayed and therefore the 7:15 arrival has been pushed back). The Town is asking all residents of Hingham to silently stand in respect, accompanied by American/USMC flags if possible.

The procession will travel along the following roads in town: Whiting Street to Gardner Street; to Farm Hills Lane; to Whiting Street (Route 53 South); to Main Street (Route 228 North); to Pond Street.

Public parking is available in the following locations.

RIP Sgt. Partyka – Thank you for your service.
