Ruth D. Robinson

It is with great sadness that the family of Ruth Deirdre Robinson announce her passing on November 12, 2021. She passed peacefully at Dwyer Home Skilled Nursing Facility in Weymouth MA surrounded by family.

Ruth was born in Watertown, Massachusetts. She was raised along with her four siblings by her mother Ruth Verrill, in Hingham MA. She graduated from Archbishop Williams High School.

Ruth worked as a Dental Assistant for many years in Quincy and then Manomet.

Ruth was the former wife of the late William G. Robinson. They lived and raised their four children in Buzzards Bay MA where she continued to live until shortly before her death.

Ruth loved her family and friends dearly. She had the rare ability to truly listen and share in both the joys and sorrows of those she loved. She was a true friend with a huge heart who was quick to help anyone in need.

She loved the ocean, dancing, sewing, crafting, meeting friends for a cup of tea or a meal and celebrating holidays with loved ones. Nobody could make a holiday meal like Ruth.

Her pride and joy were her ten Grandchildren. She loved to spend time with them, teaching them important life lessons, and attending school sports and functions.

Ruth will be sadly missed by her siblings, Reverend Wendell Verrill, Stephen Verrill and his wife Frances, Sandra White, and Lisa Milone. By her children, Christina Crocker and her husband Tim Downey, Katherine Caunter and her husband John, Carolyn Colburn and her husband John, Mark Robinson and his significant other Carmen Dwyer. And by her beloved grandchildren, Andrew and Mark Caunter, Matthew and Andrea Crocker, Josh and Abi Colburn, and Alex, Olivia and Noah Robinson and Avaeh Richman O’Connor as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday November 23, 2021 at 11:30AM. at St. Pauls Church at 147 North St. Hingham MA. Followed by Internment at St. Pauls Cemetery on Hershey St. in Hingham MA.
