South Shore Conservatory (SSC) announces the hiring of Cynthia Krebs Lee of Duxbury as its Senior Director, Institutional Advancement starting Wednesday, September 4.  Krebs Lee will spearhead a cohesive institutional advancement strategy for SSC, unifying marketing and development efforts under the same message umbrella.

Krebs Lee is a proven innovative and energetic leader with a passion for the arts.  Her wealth of development acumen derives from years of experience, most recently as the Director of Advancement for the Alliance to Protect Nantucket Sound.  She has a strong operations background, and her efforts have supported the rapid growth of both The Carlisle Group and The Catered Affair.  In addition, Krebs Lee was the Business Development Director of The Company Theater in Norwell.  She has sincere passion for people and team leadership and is a staunch supporter of the arts.

“We are excited to have Cynthia join our SSC family,” said SSC Board Chair Kathy Battistoni Skillman.  “She brings a new energy and enthusiasm to our organization, not to mention a depth of experience.  She and her family are ardent supporters of and participants in the arts community on the South Shore and in Boston.  I’m confident our families, supporters and her colleagues will appreciate her charisma and her genuine interest in making meaningful connections.  I look forward to working and strategizing with her.”

A key member of the organization’s senior leadership, Krebs Lee will oversee a team responsible for annual and major gift fundraising, planned giving, corporate sponsorships, special events, and marketing and communications strategy. She will serve as a frontline fundraiser, working closely with the President to steward a culture of philanthropy that garners essential donor support, shapes the direction of South Shore Conservatory, and increases SSC visibility.

“I am thrilled to be joining SSC and its robust community!” said Krebs Lee. Having the opportunity to work in an industry that I have a great love for feels like a homecoming!”
