For just $15 dollars, junior golfers can join the Youth on Course program and play any participating course for just $5.“This supports our mission of getting more kids out playing golf,” said Chris Riley, head pro at the South Shore Country Club. “It’s a great way to get juniors interested in golf before they make the jump to becoming full members.”
Those who are interested in learning more about the program or joining can do so by visiting Mass Golf at www.massgolf.org/youthoncourse. Prior to activating their membership, each participant is required to complete an online curriculum that covers basic course etiquette and an overview of the rules of golf.
As members, they'll receive a Youth on Course membership card and Mass Golf/GHIN number which grants them access to hundreds of courses across the country, including the South Shore Country Club, where they can play for just $5 or less.
Juniors who join and become part of the Youth on Course initiative can play at South Shore Country Club anytime Monday through Thursday and after 3PM on weekends.
