While most 4th of July celebrations are cancelled this year, a new local company is offering a fun and functional way to show off your patriotic spirit while also giving back to the community. The Great Cover Up was created by Abi and Joanna Sood, local Hingham residents who are using their manufacturing experience to jump into making creative and fun face masks and coverings. Just in time for the upcoming holiday, the first design to launch is the Stars and Stripes collection. The masks feature three layers of soft cotton and come in four sizes to accommodate the whole family.

The Hingham 4th of July parade has become a special tradition for the family and like all Hingham residents, they are looking forward to a bigger and brighter parade in 2021. The Great Cover Up has partnered with the Hingham 4th of July Parade Committee to offer local residents a great promotion.

"Growing up in Hingham, the 4th of July was always a favorite holiday," shared Joanna Sood. "Our family had been living overseas but we came back to visit in the summer and our kids have been attending the parade since they were toddlers. When we decided to move to Hingham last year, everyone was excited for the parade and our two daughters even marched in it with their softball team. What a trip down memory lane for me! While the parade is cancelled this year, we hope our donation will help make the 2021 parade bigger and better than ever!"

Visit ShopTheGreatCoverUp.com and use the coupon code “HINGHAM” when you shop the Stars and Stripes mask collection. A portion of the sales will go to the Hingham 4th of July Parade Committee and you’ll receive free local delivery. Order before July 1st to guarantee delivery in time for the holiday.

The masks are on sale and range in price from $9-$12 pending size.

The company will continue to launch new collections throughout the summer and a special “back to school” collection will launch in August. Custom logo masks can also be made for teams, companies and other groups.
