January is often famously marked as “dry January,” a time to reset after the revelry of the holidays. Many folks may refrain from drinking alcohol for the month as a way to kick off the new year. And of course, there are people who choose to abstain from alcohol for other reasons. Fortunately, with the rise of spirit-free drinks, there are more options for those in search of alcohol-free beverages.
Whether you adhere to a spirit-free lifestyle, are sober-curious, participating in dry January, or looking to add spirit-free drinks into your repertoire, STARS on Hingham Harbor has you covered. The restaurant features several mocktails and is stocked with Clausthaler Pilsner ($6) a non-alcohol beer.
We caught up with STARS bartender Bob Nolan who crafted a few spirit-free drinks that were delicious and refreshing:
The Berry Fabulous features strawberry, mint, lemon, and elderflower puree topped with soda water.
The Free Spirit is composed of a non-alcohol sparkling wine, blood orange, cranberry, sage puree, and topped with grapefruit tonic water.
And last but not least, The Pear Pressure, which is made of a pear vanilla lemon puree and finished with a splash of elderflower tonic water. All cocktails are $13.
Cheers!
