By now we’re all aware of Gov Baker’s order requiring face masks or cloth face coverings be worn in all public places where social distancing isn’t possible. This aligns with the updated CDC COVID-19 prevention guidelines, but may leave some people scrambling to find a mask. N-95 and other medical grade masks are in short supply and should be prioritized for health care workers. Cloth face masks help reduce the risk of contamination and are readily available for the public.

So which cloth face mask should you wear? People are quickly realizing that masks can be an extension of their style. What was once standard-issue has now evolved into something that can offer a fashion statement for the person wearing it. All signs point to mask wearing as a trend that will continue for the foreseeable future, so you might as well buy one that you love. (And then buy an extra one or three, because these should always be washed after wearing.)
