Tis this season for giving! Children from Stepping Stone Learning Center in Hingham, MA recently donated five extra-large boxes filled with toys and gifts for pediatric patients of all ages at South Shore Hospital, part of South Shore Health.
On Friday, December 18, Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) from South Shore EMS, Doreen Carey and Terry Blankenship, picked up the generous donations in one of the South Shore EMS ambulances. The EMTs gave the children a first-hand tour of the vehicle before posing for a few photos and taking the toys and gifts back to South Shore Hospital.
“We are tremendously grateful to the children, their parents and the entire staff at Stepping Stone Learning Center in Hingham,” said Mark Waltzman, MD, Chair of Pediatrics at South Shore Hospital. "The toys and gifts they have donated will help put a smile on the faces of our pediatric patients."
