Tennis Teams Breeze Through First Round

Both the girls and boys tennis teams opening their MIAA State Tournament run.  The girls, who play in Division 1, faced off against King Phillip High School.  The Harbormen won all five matches - 1st singles Mathilde Megard 6-0, 6-1; 2nd singles Katelyn Erikson 6-1, 6-2; 3rd singles Brooke Flynn 6-2, 6-0, 1st doubles Maggie O'Keefe and Susie Anderson 6-1, 6-1; and 2nd doubles Renee Martel and Sanya Khadivi 6-3, 6-1.  The girls take on Acton-Boxborough tomorrow at home at 4pm.

The boys also won their match 5-0 against Plymouth South.  Highlights included 1st singles Jack Price 6-1, 6-3; 2nd singles Travis Rugg 6-0, 6-1; 3rd singles Thomas Fabrizio 6-3, 6-0; 1st doubles Dominic Kanter and Will Baker 6-1, 6-0, and 2nd doubles Ben LaRhette and Nick Dubois 6-0, 6-3.  The Harbormen, who play in Division 2, will host Amherst/Pelham today at 4pm.
